April Meeting – Wednesday, April 12, 2023

Topic: Autonomous Robotic Turf Mowers – How These Will Help Public Works Teams Address the Labor Shortage

MTech, a regular presenter at NOSDA always presents the latest technology which our members should consider. MTech will again present the newest technology in Autonomous Robotic Turf Mowers from RC Mowers made in the USA in Green Bay. RC’s Autonomous Mowing Robot (AMR) allows a single operator to maintain the same area as a crew of three. The RC technology has redefined the business of mowing. RC was just named to the “Fast Company’s” annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023.

MTech will have three units on hand at the lunch meeting for our members to touch, feel and use on site – So come early or stay late as you will not want to miss your chance to see these in action.

Tim Kubista from RC Mower and the MTech Team will address:

1. Public works teams face the same labor challenges as other industries: there is a workforce shortage – How we can help
2. Autonomous mowers offer the ability for a single operator to operate three mowers at once
3. Autonomy offers a more precise mowing product with little to no turf damage

2023 Membership

Membership fees were due by March 1, 2023. Fees for an annual membership is $20.00 for retired members (retired government employees only); $25.00 for municipal members (government employees only); and $30.00 for associate members (vendors). The membership is per person, in order to participate in trainings and meetings you must be a member. Checks should be made payable to Northern Ohio Service Directors Association.
